Nanotech and the Physical Manifestation of a Reality
Ok, give me some comments on this people.
I can’t figure out why my posts of this nature haven’t received any comment?
Is it beneath you all? You have nothing to say? I don’t believe that - at least call me stupid or tell me it is bullshit or something.
I find these thoughts incredibly interesting, even if it is hard to believe…
I generally tend to be a conspiracy theorist and I fully believe that we have not even come close to the pinnacle of knowledge, contrary to what many of our present day scientists seem to believe. So, as I said before I find things of this nature very fascinating.
Anyway, read this article and be prepared - the movie “The Island” comes to mind.
Tell me what you think!

Curious: How or why do you think that scientists believe we are close to the pinnacle of knowledge?

Remember what the patent office said over 100 years ago: Everything that will ever be invented has already been. Or something like that. Just another example of humans thinking we are the biggest thing out there. FYI, I am sure we’re not.

Ok, I confess that is a grossly generalized comment meant only to generate response. I have been struggling here to get any kind of activity on the skunk now for a while.
In the past I have found generalizations to be a good way of inciting response.
I don’t truly believe that any active scientist feels that way about knowledge - I believe scientists in general accept the fact that there is always something new to be discovered, learned, etc.
I do feel that there are somethings that have been accepted as basic understanding in the scientific community for so long that are appearing to be so wrong.
Those who are willing to point out the wrong are usually considered heretics.
I feel that the scientific model is a fantasitic model for evaluation, but I also feel that it can lead to complete disregard for things that haven’t been properly evaluated.
I also realize that it isn’t necessarily the systems fault for that - it can only be as good as the person using it.
Thanks for commenting.

I can appreciate the desire to generate discussion. Well done…
My feelings are that the vast majority of the misunderstanding regarding science comes from non-scientists. For example, most outside of science don’t correctly know the definition of a “theory” (there are very few, if any, scientific “laws”).
The only thing the scientific method is good for is making a general statement based on observable information. Of course conclusions based on crap data are crap. So if a “heretic” provides non-crap data to support his/her conclusion, that label could easily be replaced with “visionary” or “genius”.

Thanks.
And I agree with all that you said.
Also, thanks for the recommendations, I will check them out. I’m very fascinated by the topics you mentioned.
Feel free to post some of that which you find interesting as well, I’m sure everyone here would appreciate it and I personally know you have a lot to offer the readers of the skunk!
