Saddam’s a dead man. He’s going to hang within 30 days. Too bad for him and lucky for the middle east he didn’t have OJ’s dream team defending him.
I have many thoughts on this ranging from why the world didn’t step up years ago and bring him to trial for the things he was found guilty of to how much the rope that hangs Saddam would go for on ebay?
I find it very interesting that there were three defense lawyers and a witness murdered during the course of the trials 39 sessions, and I wonder who and what was behind these murders. I guess I would have expected people from the offense to be murdered.
Who was the murdered witness, and what about the lawyers made it worth killing them? It seems to me that Saddam was dead to rights the day he was captured and there was nothing any man could do to save him. Killing the defense lawyers seems pretty pointless. I don’t remember hearing anything about these (I’m not suggesting that it wasn’t in the news, I was just unaware of it).
Anyway, thoughts and comments on this would be appreciated.

From what I read his lawyers don’t want the US to hand him over to Iraqui authorities because you are not supposed to give a prisoner of war to his enemies.
So I guess that makes the US a Saddam ally?

Let him go. Let the Iraqi people sort it out. If Saddam would be set free and could still win back control of his country, he would have earned it, Democracy (not to mention the U.S.) would be proven wrong for Iraq, and in it handling of Iraq. And if Saddam is going to hang, I should as hell hope its public. Hell if its public, make it a stoning… let’s get good and Medieval on his ass.
