Actually, the first time I heard about this was 1 week ago on a Thursday afternoon from a really neat guy who is from Bismarck and lives in Poland.
He and his girlfriend are partially responsible for the banning of the plastic bags in Poland!

Yeah, that amount of garbage doesn’t collect in a short amount of time.
I tried to follow your link, but it didn’t take me to a specific article.
I guess I was just trying to bring awareness to something that was new to me.
